Awareness, Safety, and Surveillance, these are the '3S' of the French name that act as pillars of this project, launched in 2019 to mobilize Lake Davignon’s shoreline residents. The project aims to ensure the safety of all lake users, maintain surveillance of the shores and the water, and bring residents together to foster community interaction.
The implementation of this project offers several advantages, notably strengthening the residents' sense of belonging and responsibility as they are encouraged to take an active role in monitoring their environment. Awareness and social activities are also planned for the second phase of the project.
An alert and information system has been established to inform shoreline residents of situations requiring follow-up. A procedures document will enable residents to intervene quickly and effectively to ensure safety on our body of water and protect the invaluable jewel that is Lake Davignon.
If you witness a situation requiring action or follow-up, do not hesitate to contact the CSBVLD. The procedures document is currently under development and will soon be available to help you take action according to the situations that may arise.
